The Hell That I’ve Been Thru
W/B Patty Booker & Rick Shea

I pulled back the trigger i had you both in range
Then it flashed before me What was i to gain
I gently let the hammer down saw a different point of view
Honey you can have him and all the hell that i’ve been thru

You can stay up nights and wonder where he’s been
Then let him in your bed time and time again
You be the one to trust him like I use to do
Honey you can have him and all the hell that i’ve been thru

Well now I can’t remember Why I stayed so long
But I know he can tell you Where we both went wrong
And on those nights that he won’t talk well that’s another clue
Honey you can have him and all the hell that I’ve been thru

I pulled back the trigger I had you both in range
Then it flashed before me What was I to gain
I gentley let the hammer down Saw a different point of view
Honey you can have him and all the Hell that I’ve been thru

Don’t Go Back To Sleep Patty Booker & Jann Browne
So many times I’ve tried to change my plans
Fit into your life and follow your coctail band
But it always brings me bac to face’n my own fear
So I grab hold of myself and high tale it out of here

I don’t know what scares me most Loose’n you or the Holy Ghost
But I’m not afraid to be that the Devil knows
I stand out on the edge I lean over the wall
And I hear a voice give’n me a call

Wake-up Baby Wake-up You’ve been live’n in a dream
Wake-up Baby wake-up Don’t go back to sleep

Girl you better listen to what you feel inside
Don’t let a tainted fantasy take you for a ride
You know what you need and what you’ve always wanted
If you close your eyes for him your life will be so haunted

Sometimes it’s a lonely place where I have to go
No one understands but everybody knows
You can not live a dream with somebody else
When that dream is nothing more than living for themselves

Wake-up Baby Wake-up You’ve been living in a dream
Wake-up Baby Wake-up Don’t go back to sleep

Please Don’t Lie To Me
W/B Patty Booker & Jann Browne
You can drip oil in the driveway Baby Drop your clothes on the floor
Leave up the toilet seat forget to close the door
Ah but PLEASE don’t ever Lie to me
I said PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Baby Don’t ever lie to me

Well you can drank alot of bear Sleep in ever morning
Yah call up an old friend Have him over witho ut warn’n
Ah but PLEASE don’t ever lie to me
I said PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Baby Don’t ever lie to me

There’s no shame in being human That’s all we really are
We make mistakes sometimes we go too far
Ah but a choice is all I ask No don’t take that from me
Tell the truth Baby Shame the Devil
PLEASE PLEAS PLEASE Don’t ever lie to me
I said do anything that you want to Baby But Baby don’t you lie to Me

I’d rather hear the truth now Baby Take an honest fall
Come on I double dare you Show me you got the balls
Ah but PLELASE Don’t ever lie to me
I said PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Baby Don’t ever lie to me
I said do anything that you want to Baby But Baby don’t you lie to Me

It's Been Nice Knowing You
W/B Patty Booker & Jann Browne

If your ever ready to fit one girl in your plan
when you can stand beside her Like your proud to be her man
No matter who is watching or what anyone will say
Stop and give me ring Maybe it won't be to late

I'm in search of someone Who has another plan
Someone I can count on I need an honest man
Two days of the week Oh is not enough for me
That's the way it works for you But not how it works for me

It's been nice knowing you But I have to go
Say good bye to what we once knew I have to let go
It's been nice holding you wish my dreams could come true with you
But I know they never will Still it's been nice knowing you

Lets do the one-way hula like we use to do
The one-way hula Ka-ah-oh-ka-poo
Listen to me darlen I'm still in love with you
Lets do the one-way hula OOOOHHHH Ugh Ugh
Ka-ah-oh-ka-poo (my secret love)

I've got a new years reselution lets go ring in the new year

Tomorrow Never Comes
W/B Earnest Tubb & Johny Bond

Oh you tell me that you love me Yes you tell me that you care
That tomorrow we'll be married but tomorrow is NEVER  there

Oh tomorrow NEVER comes Yes tomorrow NEVER comes
Yes you tell me that you Lo-oo-oo-ve me But tomorrow NEVER comes

Many long weeks I have waited Many long nights I have cried
Just to see that happy mo-oo-ment when I'd have you by my side

But tomorrow NEVER comes Yes tomorrow NEVER comes
Yes you tell me that you Lo-oo-oo-ve me But tomorrow NEVER comes

If I Believed In God W/B Patty Booker
We went to church on Sunday They always sent the kids
Taught us all to pray to God and so that’s what we did
Every night when I lay down I prayed it would stop
He would save my Brother and have mercy on my Mom

They filled our hearts with hate Put God in our head
I prayed the Lord my soul to keep But I knew he was dead
Cause no one ever answered any of my prayers
And it’s taken a long time to unravel the layers

BUT IF I BELIEVED IN GOD IT WOULD BE BECAUSE OF YOU
I COULD ALWAYS CALL AND YOU WOULD GET ME THRU
YOU NEVER WERE AFRAID OF MY DARKEST AVENUES
IF I BELIEVED IN GOD IT WOULD BE BECAUSE OF YOU

They say he walked on water And he could raise the dead
He could cure the plague and chase demons from your head
For me it’s still a question With no answers anywhere
Cause every-time I look around it makes me wanna swear

BUT IF I BELIEVED IN GOD IT WOULD BE BECAUSE OF YOU...........

Wake Up Little Baby    W/B Patty Booker

Wake up little baby Wake up Honey Child
Wake up little baby It's time to go that lonely mile

Well I sang and rocked you Baby to the rhythm my heart beat
Nice and soft and easy and you fell fast asleep
I love that little baby oh I love you Honey Child
But noth'n lasts forever it's only for a while so

Wake up little baby Wake up Honey Child
Wake up little baby It's time to go that lonely mile

There's a world outside these arms and it's waiting there for you
I taught you all I know now there's no more I can do
Take my love and go I'll be here if you call
At times it's not so easy but don't be afraid to fall

Wake up little baby Wake up Honey Child
Wake up little baby It's time to go that lonely mile

Now when I leave this world I want you to know
It's only flesh and blood that really has to go
I'll be here with you I won't be far away
Listen to your heart and you can hear it say

Wake up little baby Wake up Honey Child
Wake up little baby It's time to go that lonely mile
I'll walk with you that lonely mile I'll be with you that lonely mile

Wake up Wake up I said Wake up I'll walk with you that lonely mile

This Photograph   W/B Patty Booker

You called me up on the telephone
said you got someth'n that I might won't
You came right over and you left me with
a picture of you yah that's what you did
I looked at it and I thought a while
then I looked at you and I stretched a smile
I remember when you left and what you done now you tell me in this picture you had so much fun

We're right back here where we left off
I keep listen'n but you won't talk
about anythng deeper than what we see
on the serface of this photograph that you brought me

No I don't really want to hang it up
I should throw it out and let it go to the dump
But I'm gonna give it right back to you
cause I don't want a picture I'd rather have the truth
On the surface of this photograph you can't see how I was hurt'n when you left me to grieve
You took off and left the ends untied
Look into the photograph you'll see me crie

We're right back here where we left off I keep listen'n but you won't talk
about anythng deeper than what we see on the serface of this photograph that you brought me

Yah you gotta get deeper than what you see on the surface of this photograph that you brought me.   Your on the surface of this photograph that you brought me.

The Hand That Rocked His Cradle
W/B Patty Booker
His Momma did what she knew how to raise her boy up right
But he grew up with a heart of stone and lookin’ for a fight
She stayed up nights to hold him To rock his pain away
Ah but nothing could console him it hurt her more each day

Well his teacher told his Momma that little boy needs help
But his Daddy wouldn’t hear of it he said they’ve always helped themselves
So his father took the strap in hand to teach the boy what’s right
And his Momma did what she knew how and rocked him late at night

Now the Hand that rocked his cradle had to lock him out tonight
Cause ever her undieing love just couldn’t make it right
Oh and nothing can compare to the pain their feelin’ now
Cause the hand that rocked his cradle is the hand that locked him out

Now everyday his Momma prays someday to understand
Why she couldn’t save him from his own destructive hand
She’s been trying to protect him from the life he leads
Oh wash away his blood while her own heart bleeds

Now the hand that rocked his cradle had to lock him out tonight
Cause even her undieing love just couldn’t make it right
Oh and nothing can compare to the pain their feelin’ now
Cause the hand that rocked his cradle is the hand that locked him out

Who Would I Be   W/B Patty Booker & Jann Browne

Who would I be if mercy's angel took me by the hand
Would I stand in my own shadow would I listen to my voice
Could she make me strong enough to dare and make a choice

Who would I be if these jelous bones thought of you no more
If I shed my skin of anger and kissed your ruby mouth
Would it fill me up enough or leave us both in dought

I'd say I love you then I'd slowly walk away
Knowing my minds made up to finally be ok
I'd laugh in spite of all the things that make me week
I'd finally realize that's who who I'd be

Who would I be If I cried in front of everyone I loved
Would it make me strong to tell you I'm just too week to bend
Should I clutch your beaded rosery or trust myself again

I'd ask the moon and stars to shine some pretty light
I'd trust my intuition thru the darkest night
I'd fall in love again with someone who loved me
I'd finally realize that's who who I'd be

Who I'd be That's who I'd be Who I'd be That's who I'd be
